The Winch: End of Summer Charity Event

On Friday 14th August, members of our Operations team - Besnik Aliu, Caroline Wilding, David Brooks and Ian Harman - had the pleasure of supporting The Winch’s End of Summer Party, serving lunch to children, young people and families from the local community.

The Winch is a charity supporting thousands of children, young people and families across Camden, helping to make the hopes and ambitions of their community a reality. Through building trust, bringing people together and creating spaces where everyone feels they belong, their work makes a real difference to the local community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible, from our Operations team and Culinary Director to Bidfood and Houghton’s for their generous donations and the clients at Rhodes Avenue Primary School for supporting us with their facilities. We’re incredibly proud to have been able to support The Winch and their community, and we look forward to continuing our partnership and lending a hand again at Christmas.

A few words from The Winch

Kim, Head of Play at The Winch, shared:

“They absolutely loved the food, and the parents who came afterwards ate too and said it was delicious! We also managed to share out what was left, including the extra salad you brought. You really do make a difference by giving your time, support and wonderful personalities too. Thank you so much again. We really look forward to seeing you at Christmas.”

We’re proud to support organisations like The Winch and to play our part in bringing people together through food, community and shared experiences.
