What's New In 2018 

Welcome to “Better Choice” helping our customers make healthier choices.

Accent Catering are delighted to launch our healthier lifestyle range of foods called “Better Choice”. Healthy eating has always been a priority to us and for many years the ‘Boost’ range has highlighted healthier options for our customers. As this market has got more complex, we have looked at ways to make healthier choices as simple as possible for our customers. 

Paul Merry, our Food Development Director, has produced lots of recipes for dishes which contain superfoods, protein packed vegetarian, meat and fish options with wholegrains and pulses, along with exciting grab and go lines which will be featured across our menus. These dishes will be clearly labelled with the “Better Choice” logo on our menus and stickers on food packaging. 

Since day one, all our food is cooked from scratch, no mixes or pre-packed food so we know exactly what goes in every dish. We already provide reduced salt meals and have Reduced Sugar recipes for our desserts, using natural sugars in fruit or substituting sugar with honey or natural sweeteners. The “Better Choice” range of dishes will complement our current healthy eating principles and will help steer our customers towards even Better Choices! 

Our focus on great food does not stop at Better Choice. New for 2018 and following on from the success of our fruit and vegetables of the month over the last couple of years:

‘Herb of the Month’

Each month a different herb has been picked to create some exciting new recipes to feature on our menus. These recipes will have an enhanced flavour with the addition of fresh herbs. 

These new dishes will be supported by our ‘Herb of the Month’ recipes and all our customers will learn about the benefits of adding fresh herbs to food with the opportunity to cook these recipes at home.

‘Special Days’

Our monthly ‘Special Days’ are a popular feature helping to promote interest and customer participation in all our restaurants.  Our customers will have the opportunity to try new dishes from different countries around the World each month as well as some traditional favourites.  

‘Allergens’

All our menus are fully allergen checked, a pre-service briefing is completed with all our dedicated onsite allergen gurus employed in our teams this ensures every customer is catered for and our customers with allergens are catered for with a nutritious balanced diet as all our customers deserve this level of attention. 

When you add all of this to our food which comes with great accreditations including the Soil Association Food for Life Mark, Red Tractor and Farm assured meat, RSPCA approved purchasing practices and the ‘Good Egg’ award for using Free Range eggs, fair trade goods, triple certified coffee and chocolate, purchasing principles that actively supports British farmers and the use of local suppliers, you can be assured we are committed to our food focus with our customers’ health and wellbeing at heart of everything we do.
